Annual Events
- Frontenac Heritage Festival: A three-day event over Family Day weekend celebrates the traditions that have shaped our way of life. Join the festivities at many locations across Central Frontenac Township.
- Seed to Sausage’s Day of the Pig: Every May long weekend, Mike McKenzie opens his shop in Tichborne, roasts a couple of pigs and invites a bunch of really awesome food and drink makers to share their creations with us. Go early, stay all day.
- Wintergreen Studio’s BioBlitz: In late May, join a group of expert naturalists, nature enthusiasts, outdoor junkies, and the curious for a few hours, a full day, or the entire stretch (5 days) to track and learn more about wildlife and explore the outdoors.
- Groove Yoga Festival, Sydenham: Yoga. Movement. Music. Community. Good clean outdoor fun, country-style. Dance, DJs, live music, sound healing, Thai massage, Acroyoga, flow yoga, slow yoga. Fresh air, good food, good friends. A weekend of dynamic movement & creative play for everyBODY.
- Back Forty Artisan Cheese Season Opener: Every June, Back Forty Cheese welcomes guests to their Factory and Tasting Room for beer, wine, music, food, and fresh curd to help kick off their summer season.
- Sydenham Lakes and Trails Festival: In July, Sydenham’s Point Beach is the “homebase” for a celebration and exploration of trails and water. Cycle, walk, paddle.
- Blue Skies Music Festival: You can buy day passes to this annual early August festival online and at the gate, but weekend camping passes have sold out every year for over 30 years. Blue Skies is a unique, relaxed festival, which means everyone wants to go.
- Back Roads Studio Tour: Nestled on the meandering roads of North Frontenac, you will find many Artists and Artisans who create beautiful works of art in different mediums (end of September)
